But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more

Good find. They did this before but then started charging new customers £99 for the box.
If anyone wants to take up Sky then I could do with a Sky+ box and wouldn't mind being your 'refferer' . I have tried getting Sky+ plus but have to pay for it. Threatned to leave and got half price for three months, but no Sky+ box.0 -
I haven't been able to find this offer anywhere. Online and in their magazine they have one very similar, but it is free installation and free SKY box (not Sky+) with £10 for 3 months for the new subscriber, and £50 M&S voucher for the referrer.
My dad is wanting to go straight for Sky+ so I'm trying to find some sort of "refer a friend" deal - is there a website address?0 -
Hi
No it came in the post in the form of a "thank you" card I know its a brand new deal as I have been looking for my sister the cheapest sky + deal out there and it was 89.00 plus you had to get multi room. Thats why I posted it as I thought
it was such a good deal. Try the telephone number and let us know how you get on. I have read all the terms and cond and it is 100% legit. But if ever I stray from the path I follow

I also received one of these cards today and thought that it was just the sort of offer I needed for my parents and in-laws as they had been impressed with my newly acquired Sky+ box and wanted one themselves. On reading the small print I found that they don't qualify as they are existing subscibers. I got my Sky+ box as part of the package when we went to multi-room. It cost £80 plus. Anyone know what's the best price available for existing customers switching to Sky+ without multi-room?0

hi all,
i phoned up sky last month to leave them, as the football season was over. it was not my intention to barter for a better deal or anything, anyhow, they did not offer me anything at the time, but 2-3 days prior to my service coming to a halt, i received a call from them, asking why i wanted to leave etc.
to cut a long story short, they offered me sky plus for £49, i refused and said i wanted it for free, then he said we can give you a refurb one for free, which i snapped immediately.
the added bonus was when he offered my 6 months half price as well, so what the hell, i snapped that up too.
in my opinion i got a very good deal, i have not had it installed yet, only 2 weeks to go!!
just thought i'd fill you all in as to what is actually being offered to existing customers.0 -
am i right in thinking to record programs using the sky+ box, you have to subscribe to the sky+ service?0

So if I'm getting this right, he rings up as a new subscriber and they will give him a free sky+ box and 3 months of the full Sky World subscription for £10 per month?
What about installation, etc? Is that included as well? Is there any benefit for the "friend" who referred him?0 -
if you are planning this is the right time to sign up for SKY+
3 months £10 is a cracking deal as there is no SKY+ subscription charges with premium channels. this itself saves £30 and the 3rd month onwards you can downgrade to basic package and pay £10 subs. charge for SKY+
Also you get £10 for ordering online. ahh.. forgot quidco.com gives you another £50 back
warning! Amstrad sky+ boxes are crap (my god! i said the same to sky engineer just now after writing here, tomorrow is my installation. he promised me a thomson one), pace pvr3 is best followed by thomson
hope this helps

Unfortunately, I can't find a way of ordering it online - looks like it's telephone only for the Sky+. You can still get the normal Sky package on a special offer online but I think he's after the plus. Actually - he was thinking of getting the HD, but I think I've managed to dissuade him. Not only is it rather expensive at the moment - he doesn't have a HD TV anyway!0
