How to tune freeview without remote

My daughter lost the remote for the freeview box and now I can't tune her tv which hasn't got an in-built tuner.
It's a Sony VTX-D800U freeview box and I thought it was a decent one but now I'm not so sure as it hasn't got any buttons apart from prog -, + and on/off
All of the other functions such as tuning were only accessible via the remote.
What are my options please?

I sounds to me like your only option is to find the remote or buy another freeview set top box.

There is a very outside chance that an all-in-one remote may be made to work but I wouldn't put ant money on it.

How can she "lose" the remote control of a Freeview box? Did she take it out of the house? Did she put it in the bin?

It must be on the premises somewhere.

Teenage girl with a bombsite of a bedroom which very rarely gets a full sort out, this includes hauling all manner of stuff into bags for recycle and refuse etc.

Not to worry though as I just found a replacement on Amazon for £12.97
