DLA & maintenance from my ex

Options
Hi, i am receiving DLA at higher rate for mobility and lower rate for care. I am separated from my husband and about to start divorce as we have been apart 2 yr. Can my ex take my DLA into account when working out maintenance for me and our child(6yrs)?At present he is, as in he works out how much bills and mortagage are and out goings like food etc and
then gives me the difference in maintenance. I would like
to sign up for motability but as he is taking my DLA into account and this goes towards my bills i dont have the money. Does anyone know if he can do this? I thought that DLA was for use on my disability not general living costs which everyone has. please help

DLA is not taken into account - it is to pay for your disability needs. Find the CSA calculator - there are links on other threads -and use that.
Your ex is pulling a fast one - CS is calculated on his income not what the pwcneedsto run a house.
If you are not happy with his offer and the CSA calculator shows a vastly different figure you could always suggest that you contact the CSA direct and let them deal with it!!
    Good luck
    One life.
