Its the fine line that had to be played with CCAs, in putty71's case he cannot afford it and is being hounded by DCAs, if the CCA is invalid it can buy time to get back on their feet.
But you are correct, people will and do use legal loopholes to absolve them of there responsibilities, MP expenses currently a case in point, where the home secretary doesn't actually know where there home is they are claiming on...

What are you in dispute with them about?
    They want their money......
    You can't/won't pay.....
They have sent someone to collect it........

CCA being a straw grabbing exercise to dissolve yourself from your bills.

Is there anyone out there at the moment that can actually control their finances to any extent?

Although your advice is good, and very useful to those with problems, does it never grate on your mind that so many people are doing their best to circumvent liability? There are people without money worries trying it on now and it just seems wrong.
This isn't a pop........i just cannot understand the thinking behind it and would like a good discussion. :)

Sorry woody but you need to correct yourself here. There is no longer a dispute as I mentioned in a previuos post. They have provided a legally binding CCA mores the pity.

As Dark said, I am trying to buy some time to repay this. I have never said that I would'nt. If I did not have to because Amex cocked up, tough on their part but now tough on my part. Do you know my circumstances? Thought not so with due respect, keep it out. Useful advice is what is required here and I would imagine that you are in the minority. most people don't understand the financial jargon that bankers etc spew out, me being one. With the advice I receive on here and its free, I am getting my life together, so do one!

Yes mate, it does and I will not help those that deliberately try and get out of paying their debts. Ive spoken to putty for a few months and he'd been screwed over, so it's not quite the same here though.

Those that should invoke unenforceability is those that have nowhere else to turn and consider it a last resort before bankruptcy or worse. The few that try it on won't get much sympathy from me, as you probably already know. :D

Send this to the DCA mate - will give you more time: 11. Account sold whilst in Default of CCA Request :D

When Amex start court action, you need to make an offer to repay.... no getting out of that one mate.

    Thanks for the support Never.

Unfortunately Amex have replied with a comprehensive list and like you said in one of your previous posts, it looks like they have legit cca.

Allied International Credit have the debt at present and have sent both a letter a left message on phone. I am going to offer them 10% or monthly increments at £10.

Have you had dealings with Allied before?

    Cheers
