Nintendo DS WiFi

Rather than spend £30 on the Nintendo DS WiFi USB connector I've decided to buy an ADSL wireless router which will connect a second pc as well as the kids Nintendos. However... it would seem that routers can be very hit and miss as to whether they are compatible with Nintendo. Nintendo have a list of routers they've tested on their website with a grading system as to how compatible they are but none of the model numbers bear any resemblance to any that I've seen available in the shops! The stores that I've asked won't allow me to try them out at home as they'll only take opened goods back if they're faulty. Can anyone give me the model number of a currently available ADSL router that is compatible with Nintendo??It's all become far too complicated...
If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor...

hmmm, i use the nintendo WFC sevice but i use the dongle (£24.99 from amazon.co.uk). I think it is alot easier to use the dongle because you dont have to faff around with all the security codes. Are you looking for a cheap router, for your DS or a router in general so you can use it for other things?
  • Yeah the dongle would be much simpler! However, as I want wireless broadband as well I'd rather not have to buy both if I can avoid it.

Surely, it is a very long thread on Nintendo DS Wifi .. but most probably worth the read. Check those recommended routers in between the messages and look out for the problematic ones to avoid too.
