benefits for single parent studying

Hi,
Does anyone happen to know what (if any) benefits a single parent would be able to claim while being a full time university student.

I'm a fulltime nursing student and as well as my bursary I'm able to claim CB, CTC and an exemption from council taxFuture Mrs Gerard Butler

I'm on an NHS course and managing very well fininancially. Just juggling the work load is hard. Previous poster was correct and there's also an additional single parents allowance within bursary award.

You can claim housing/council tax benefit as a lone-parent student.0

From my experience none of my student bursary was disregarded except the childcare element so i was therfore entitled to nothing
Perhaps the rules are different for different authorities?
eta sorry a small part was disregarded for books etc

When I was on income support and was applying for college full time I was told I couldnt recieve any burserys without it affecting my IS?0

Nursing bursaries have very little disregarded - only a small amount for books/travel etc.0
