Hi, brought this webcam a while back and it works brilliantly until about 6 months ago. I used to use my webcam chatting to mates in America via MSN and Yahoo Messenger and Netmeeting. Then while using Yahoo Messenger as i connected to view their webcam my webcam went dark, I cant see anything on my webcam and the person's who i've connected to works fine.

I then disconnected and re-connected and as soon as i connect to view others webcam mine goes black. I have tried re-booting and have uninstalled and reinstalled it and still i get the same problem. I then thought that my PC may need to be rebuilt as i have some errors which i thought maybe the reason. I have rebuilt PC since then and still i have the same problem but the stange thing is that with Netmeeting it works ok

Can anyone recommend what i need to do? is my webcam broke?

Hi i am really struggling with this can anyone recommend anything?

uninstall messenger and re-install it. make sure that you allow it access through your firewall

I had a problem with MSN, uninstalling might not work but this way totally cleans your PC of MSN messenger.

Run the Audio and Video Tuning Wizard in MSN, and ensure that the correct camera is selected in MSN!!

Well could you try the camera on another computer, that way you will find out for sure if your camera is faulty or not and go from there.
If it works fine on netmeeting then its unlikely to be your camera though,
Dipak join this forum http://www.asksomeone.net/ and submit your problem and see what responses you get back, much more chance of getting to the bottom of the problem on there.
