9 year old bosch fan oven not working?

My Bosch hbn7050gb/01 oven has the fan working but no heat. Nothing dramatic it just didn't heat up when switched on...the top oven is fine and the fan is whirring happily but no heat,..
Now my OH is not the most DIY minded ...could it be the element? Or something more complicated that would require an expensive call out techhie....

Or should we just save up and go for a newer model?

I also have a bosch double oven about the same age and i have got through two main oven elements, they are easy to fit but access is a bit tight.
I got the new elements from bosch direct.
When fitting i turned the oven off at the fusebox.

pretty sure it will be the element...it will defo be worth replacing if everything else is good order..its not hard to replace but thats easy to say if you have an ounce of diy skills..not exspensive either but if you call out an enginere then not going to be to cheap..
