I currently have a lexmark printer and the cartridges seem to be high in price.
Can anyone suggest a good colour printer/scanner/photocopier where the ink cartridges are reasonably priced.

any of the epson stylus range have cheap cartridges.
plus the compatible ones are very good and cost about a quid each if you buy a packof 8 or 12 on ebay.
I have an SX200 all in one and its very good, good print quality.
its currently on offer at argos for half price at £39.14

I like comtinous ink systems...just refil the xternal bottle
http://www.continuous-ink-systems.co.uk/CISS-Epson/c30/index.html
These people have a nifty 2 part vartidge system now too...the top half detaches and can be refilled which means no wasted ink head cleaning too. CISS systems are a little bulky as the bottles sit next to the printer.

Brother All in Ones, cartridge replacements cost £2 each delivered. ( compatibles).0

Epson stylus fan here. Mine takes 6 seperate ink cartridges, you can normally get a full set of compatibles for around £100

Its basically depend on your use.Means for which work do you want printer. If you have work with images, then laser printer is better choice and if you work with only text and image is not more important, then inkjet is better way.0

I would check http://www.phoenixdirectukshop.co.uk for the price of cartridges before buying a printer.
I was luck enough to have brought a canon i350 without considering the cost of the cartridges. Looking at the prices of some cartridges for lexmark etc.. got myself a bargain in the long run0 -
I use Choice Stationary who do compatible inks for a fraction of the cost and do "bundles" for about £20, no issues with printing quality at all and have used them for two or three branded printers over the years Epson, Lexmark,HP - safe bet is to assume that cost does not always = quality and compatibles are often the best bet than branded own, I would start there as a starting point then decide on your printer.0
