Delia Experts - Just bought Complete Cookery Course - recipes missing?

Ok
So I bought Delia's Complete Cookery Course (Illustrated edition) the big Delia book and I thought it would have everything. Clearly that was a little bit unrealistic :D However I'm now concerned that I have less recipes than the non illustrated version. There is no confectionery section, no cheese straws. Delia how could you?
So does anyone have the classic version (which is non illustrated) or perhaps even both versions so we can compare and see if I have the same in my edition, please?

Also what Deila book do I need to get for fudge and cheese straws and yummy yummy things like that? I need it urgently before Christmas. Thank you very much. :)

The books are here in case you don't know what I mean. Fourth row down, side by side.

I made my own recipe for them the other week actually and chocolate in fudge should be illegal I want Auntie Delia's version. :D Thank you for posting those it was kind :A but I'm just giving examples of the kind of things I think are lacking in this book and I'm wondering if the classic version has more recipes than this. And if not which Delia book has this kind of thing in it so I can buy it.

No recipes folks just advice. :p:D

I would have expected them to be the same too apart from one having pics.

I did think about buying the illustrated one, I hate cook books without pics.

  • Hi. I've had my copy of Delia's Complete Cookery Course since the mid-80s and have just checked - there are no cheese straws :(. There are 698 pages and there are only about a dozen pages of photographs spread throughout the book.
There's no confectionary section, just one for cakes and one for scones and bisctuits.
    Hope this helps.
