threatning messages

i sold a genuine lv handbag on ebay, the buyer said it was a fake although i know it wasnt as i bought it myself from new, i told him to send it back and he said he would and said he had insured it for 500 euros that was 3 weeks ago, its never arrived, when i asked him for the tracking number, he was outraged and said he had never been told to insure it, he has now sent me an email saying he is coming to england next week and will personally get the money out of me, how do i report this to ebay

Sounds like a scam to me. Where is this bloke, not Nigeria? Tell him you have passed his message/threat to your local police force. You contact ebay through your own account.

I would phone EBay and see what they advise and also forward all the email correspondance to them including the email header as i tihnk this is how they confirm its genuine email.

i forgot to say this went to the resolution centre instigated by him and yesterday paypal ruled in my favour which is why he's so angry, he's also left me really bad neg feedback calling me a fraud and a falsificator do you think i could get this removed or will i be stuck with it

No - you can ask ebay to remove it.

defo! give them everything you have.

also make sure you keep everything so that if you need to report it to the police here they can track it. it may be worthwhile giving your local station a call. even if they do nothing right now they might give you some advice on who to contact in germany.

if i was sending something worth 500euros through the post i would damm well make sure it was insured and i had proof of postage. that the buyer doesnt tends to suggest he is trying it on to scare you into paying up.

99 times out of 100, he will come nowhere near you but thats why we buy insurance right? give your station a call.

yes i will do that first thing in the morning i think thats a really good idea, will let you know what they have to say

And def get that feedback removed too. They will do it as he is slandering you and also the paypal dispute granted in your favour.

thanks for that i did wonder if it was possible as i know its quite hard to get neg feedback removed but as you say he is slandering me so maybe in this instance they will remove it

If he told you he was insuring it - do you have a copy of that mail?
