It can do because of the millions of complaints they have to deal with and they have to be dealt with in date order. They could just do your refund in a day or less but that's not fair on everyone else who has been waiting.

    Hi there

    I agree with Melorablack.

However, as you may be aware there are huge amounts that these banks are dealing with and to what I know of Lloyds have an extortionate amount to sort out, someone did say last week that lloyds had told them they've no timescale on paying out, but if the money have not been paid into the account, say about 28 days after signing to accept, chase them up and tell them the money is required urgently, as it may be the case here for your dad anyway.
If your dad is in hardship maybe this would also help, good luck and hope your dad receives his money very soon, well done to your dad.

Oh yes. Lloyds take at least 21 days they are a total nightmare. They once took £50 from my account by mistake and it took me about 8 weeks to get it back and that was after several irate phone calls. They are a total nightmare.

    Hi thre dorien

First of all Congratulations on your success :T:beer:.
Blimey that is a very long wait........, hmmmmm I would be tempted to say if that is the case, they should compensate for every week your waiting as from them receiving the acceptance form, such as a little more interest etc.

Hope you receive your money way before 12 weeks.;)

If FOS have said that it sounds like Lloyds are really busy:eek:. I would do like Di says and ask for the extra interest to be added and also stress and inconvenience perhaps????

I am in a similar sutuation having signed the acceptance offers (two claims were submitted) over a month ago. I have made repeated calls which have gone from "the calculations are still to be made" to "the calculations have now been made but we are awaiting sign off". This is on one claim only and amounts to over £1,500, I have no idea on the progress on claim two despite Lloyds upholding both complaints on the same day! I appreciate that others are still waiting but surely a signature does not take over a week and then why 21 days before refund? If I owe then the money comes out immediately under the guise of offsetting, strange how it doesn't work in the other direction. Good luck in your quest.

    Hi there
I totally agree with you, it should not take long and I'm sure they have ample of staff to deal with these refunds.
We are in hardship that includes mortgage arrears and much more, as hubby out of work due to redundancies, I care for my son with autism, my hubby was recently successful with a reclaim with lloyds credit card ppi through the FOS, we are hoping it will not take too long for them to deal with this, however they will probably refund to another account where we are in arrears with also with them.
Good luck to all, and hope your not waiting too long either.
