The Toshiba graphics use a portion of the main system memory - up to 1340 MB(!) but in reality far less than this.
The Samsung has it's own memory and might be a bit better.
But (i) if the Samsung comes with 32-bit Windows 7, that video memory would make an equivalent amount of system memory unavailable for use
(ii) neither set of graphics is that impressive if for example you compare where they are in this ranking:

Only high-end gaming graphics cards need lots of memory, and as Intel are notoriously hopeless at graphics chipsets I'd favour ATI over them any day.

I think this is the same laptop at Dabs, but it's £448.98 there with free delivery. Whether it's possible to haggle with PC World...
  • yes Toshiba with ATI Mobility Radeon 512MB graphics will be good.

The Dedicated Graphics care will stuggle with the lastest games, but will give you a good midrange game selection. however it will be much better than the shared, and anyway the Dedicated card can share some RAM if it really needs it, but its 512MB less than the other card will steal from your processor.
