I thought I was alone in my complaint against Asprea

Did you get Asprea / Abec to check the wiring of the whole house?0
-
They checked the light switch where water was coming in. But despite water coming out the cooker socket they did not check this !!
Asprea are the biggest cowboys on the planet.
The checked the hob by turning it on and said it was OK to use,
I thought that once an electrical item had been flooded it was of no use. I thought minimum they would do is have it serviced. How do I know whats going on inside it?0 -
It's normally best practice after a flood to have the electrics checked, the Insurers often do not suggest this so you have to push for it0

The electrician said its "functional" and therefore the insurance company are satisfied its OK to use.
I have asked them to put it into writing that the hob is "functional" and is safe to use.
What I am being told is that it has now dried out so is now OK.
No way am I going to use it though.0 -
Got a result :j
Insurance company agreed to pay for it. Just by passed Asprea and went direct on Aviva.
Now need to sort out the other problems, Tiler arrived only had to tile 1 square meter and made a total hash of it.
Floor was put down and skirting fitted and have big gaps between it, planks do not go under skirting.:mad:0
