Hi All,
Last week, my Motability car, which I have had for 18 months (my second car throught the sheme) was written off by flood damage.
The Insurers of the Motability car, and Motability themselves have been brill', but I now have to get a new car.Not a problem....but I have just looked at my DLA award, and it is from Sept '04 - Sept '2010.
I have Parkinsons Disease, and one would think that my award would be indefinate......anyway, I am now concerned that I wont be able to get my new car quickly, because I believe that you must have 12 month running on your award....anyone had any experiences of the same?
The garage, where I have had all my cars from, don't seem to think there will be a problem, but I cannot talk to the DWP untill Monday to get reasured..

shouldn't be a problem as this is a replacement car due to your last one being damaged so it's not really a new arrangement?0

Glaswejen.....thanks for your reply, but I should have mentioned that, following the car being written off, the Motability have had settlement from the insurers, and Motability have said that I start a new contract, and should choose a new car.
