Got my letter this morning to say I've got a telephone meeting with the OR on Thursday and will take about 45 mins to and hour.

How long after this do you think iI will know if I have to pay anything each month?

They might tell you at the interview, but normally within about 4 weeks
Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.

ooh curly good luck! you're so very nearly done xx
  • I had mine this week - very similar to Snoopy's interview. They couldn't tell me over the phone the amount I would be paying into an IPA (as their computer they use to calculate it had gone down). They called me back a couple of hours later and told me. That was Wednesday, and I got my IPA agreement for signing yesterday. My exemption certificate for my card should come early next week. I quickly signed it and sent it back, because they were incredibly generous with my neccessary outgoings!

    Don't sweat it

does it sound daft I don't care if they make me pay something for the next 3 years and take all my bonues

its still a lot less than what I was paying, at least I can now go to the supermarket and think I can by butter for my sandwiches
If fact I can buy the rest of the filling to, and the bread
Its weired we never told anyone how bad things were and we managed to get invited my mum & dad twice a week where my dad would cook us a roast dinner and at least once a week to one friend or another - nowt but cheek!!
When his mum lived up here went there twice a week or more as well, as just couldn't afford food

Not daft at all, a good attitude to take.

I am sure it will all go fine. Just be honest, don't answer more than the question asked. There will be silences while the clerk is writing things down, don't try to fill these.

Start writing down any questions you have now so you don't forget them when you are on the phone.

    Above all DON'T WAFFLE.

Good luck - only answer what is asked and no need to volunteer any other information.
