got my rolls today, well pleased, ordered 22 (including a few extra just in case) had to feel for the delivery driver, he had to lift them off his lorry with a crane thing, then said to me,
*i'm beggining to hate insulation, it's all i've delivered for the past 3 months* haha poor guy must be itching like crazy!
I feel really sorry for him - he might have the start of a blister on his little finger, maybe get a blister on his thumb (Money For Nothing :rotfl: ) operating those little levers and pushing a couple of buttons
He should have done what I did.
Got mine yesterday - all 46 Rolls - and don't I know it.
Took over 3 hours to get it in
It had to be left at the bottom of the drive which meant about a trip of 60 yards including climbing the stairs to the spare bedroom (which is now wall to wall and floor to ceiling insulated :rotfl: ) and then 60 yards back for the next roll
All in all I walked well over 3 miles, half of that distance with a roll of insulation on my shoulder, and climbed about 700 steps.
Glad it wasn't raining - definitely worked up a bit of a sweat - I was puffing a bit towards the end.
My bones ache a bit this morning and for some reason my left wrist is very sore.
As for my delivery man he seemed quite happy - lifted it off in 4 swings of the crane with grabber on the end - he never came within 20 feet of a roll of insulation at any time, so no chance of an itch as far as I can see
Build Center were great about arranging the delivery.
They rang up the day after I ordered it online and I could have had it delivered the following day if I'd wanted.
That wasn't OK for me and they said they would call back in a day or 2 when they had the next batch of deliveries to be scheduled.
They did, the date suggested was still no good so I declined again.
This happened twice more before one fitted in with my plans.
Sorted - no hassle.
One last thing - in the bag with the gloves & mask & goggles - a Customer Voucher for 20% OFF Building Products - Worth up to £100 (£500 spend) - Valid until 31st July 2010
Minimum spend £100
Not bad eh?
