Zee sweets update.

Options
It looks like anyone who ordered from zee won't be getting a freebie unless you've already got one.
This info comes from their forum (under latest news)
Due to unforeseen circumstances, all freebie requests that have been received have been cancelled and deleted from our systems.

I am posting this as information only- see, no opinion on show. :p

Please keep it non abusive, as while I'm not happy with them, I do think this is better not deleted, so people know what is going on.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I wasn't really hopeful about this one. Did anyone get anything?

    offer now changed

If you would like to receive a freebie, please sign up to our site and complete 1 offer, You can then open a ticket to request a FREEBIE ORDER. Once you have done your freebie order, a order will be lodged and will be viewable in your account.

Apparently they sent £2,000 via paypal and 3,000 parcels (just under half of which were returned due to insufficent postage).
    They recieved 60,000 requests.

Again, only posting publicly available information from their forum :)

    For information only:
I made a point of taking a screengrab of the offer just in case, posted below.

The important bit being "everyone will at least get a bar of chocolate" as you gave away personal details under the impression that that would be the least you could expect to recieve, you could argue that you would'nt have supplied said information without the promise.
For anybody that did enter I think it would be wise to contact Birmingham Trading Standards to at the very least ensure that your details are removed from their system, details below:
e-mail:tradingstandards@birmingham.gov.uk Alternatively you can write to us at:Trading Standards,
    Ladbrooke House,
    Bordesley Street,
    Digbeth,
    Birmingham B5 5BL.

Zee sweets is now a cashback site.
  • I genuinely got a fiver from them via Paypal - sounds like from the notes above it'd have been safer to do that for everyone rather than the underpaid postage scenario! But I did get a fiver and it has been used to pay for an eBay purchase so although I'm upset for those that didn't get anything I did want to add some balance and say that I was one of the lucky (very) few I think.
