I have a Panasonic DMP BD35 and would like to know if it will play Blu Rays from the USA
Does it require a hack or is it region free?
Anyone point me in the right direction as Blu Rays are cheaper in the US and some cracking special editions about
Thanks

There is usually a remote control button sequence which is makes it region free. It usually doesn't tell you after completeing the sequence that its region free you just have to pop in a different region disc
Other problem it might not play the disc on your TV unless you can switch between PAL and NTSCSurvey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740 -
Blurays are region locked so I would guess the players are. I would stay with a UK player if I was you.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

take a read through that website, if you find a movie you want to buy in the USA, and it says YES under region free, just buy it.... even though they print the codes on the box, doesn't mean they actually encode the disc... there are some that are locked, but a vast majority seem to be region free...
so, in response to Percy1983, the majority of BluRays are NOT region locked. Isn't research wonderful

I do partially agree with this, I have import discs myself etc.
But that is the current situation, next week all disc me be region locked. Unlikely but it may happen at some point and then you are stuck.
Use that advantahe the other way by all means, buy a UK player and if some US movies are region free then buy them if you want.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
