Lockerz - Anyone know anything about it?

My son, who is underage anyway, has just been invited by his friend, who is also underage to join this site Lockerz.

What I know so far is, apparently they can earn points for answering questions and surveys and doing other stuff which can be redeemed for goods.

The goods list, quiet frankly it all looks too good to be true, ipods, games consoles, laptops, all the big highstreet names!

Any I am highly sceptical, it's all by invitation only, based in the States, as far as I can tell. I just can't see how this can be ligitimate.

I think I am going to speak to my son's school anyway, because these kids are all signing up and that can't be good.

Even if any of them can redeem their points for a laptop for example, surely we would get stung for import duty etc.

Does anyone know more about this site, or had any experience to share.

Yes I have read some it, and so much contradiction. I was hoping MSE people might have a more 'realistic' view of it.

Personally I wouldn't bother as I doubt they'll ever get any items to redeem your points agaist. Everything is always out of stock

I've managed to make one redeem thus far, which was for a £50 amazon GC, which i received via email.

The reason the items are always out of stock is because its not a store, therefore there is limited stock for each month.

The items are restocked twice a month, once for z-listers and the other time for regular members.

I make no qualms that its never easy to redeem, but given it takes 5 minutes at most to login every day and just answer a question, it seems an easy practice even if it takes you months to get a successful redeem.
