All measures are triples.. I hope you all know what you're getting yourselves into.
hypno: I know. But, I have a plan. My bigger life goal now includes doing stuff for "me", and not for the banks. I'm going to have a pleasant, stress-free Christmas (for the first time since childhood), and then I'm saving like a crazy person - in much the same fashion as I paid off debt - to get a nice big fat deposit for my first real home. Along the sides will be a comfortable emergency fund, a fund to replace my 6.5 year old car when she gets to 12, and an opportunity fund (well.. you never know, do you?). All nicely worked out on an excel spreadsheet... just throw in my pay and bills for the month and it works out the rest.
Already have my estimated divorce costs saved up. The emergency fund can cover any shortfall.

Hi Lee,
I haven't read much of your story having only been a dfw for the last week or so.
However I just wanted to say a big Congratulations!!! And the best of luck with the future. Thanks for such a lovely post, hopefully we will all get there in our own time. Being 24 and in this position is so hard, especially when I just want to get out and live life, experience things etc etc... but I now know the support is here if i want it, and it's better I learn my lesson now, all the better to enjoy life in a couple of years time.
