Not as silly as the question sounds! I have been on long term sick 7 months. I noticed 2 pay days ago (SSP only, now run out i understand) that the bank credit name had changed.. to be honest i thought nothing of it as i am ill and have bigger fish to fry. One of my co workers called me today to see how i am and in passing mentioned us all moving over to be employed by another company within our 'group'
I have not had a payslip or a P60 from them since i went off sick in April/May time so cant check on payslips who my employer is - as daft as it sounds
I am concerned re if i decide to return to work what will happen? I spoke with HR afew weeks ago who havebt told me anything re change of employer etc... or am i worrying without need?
I know nothing re redundancy TUPE etc hence why i am asking here, so any replies please start from the bottom up! lol TIA

You really need to ask the company/HR department that question nobody here can help answer that (probably).
TUPE or not TUPE will depend on how the company has been transfered. (if it has been transfered that is)

You need to find out what your position is before taking it futher if necessary.0 -

You make it appear that the original employing company and possibly the current one are sister companies, that is all their shares are owned by the same holding company. Is that the case?0 -
If you have been moved around within a group of companies, then this is unlikely to be covered by TUPE. Generally such moves are considered to be internal transfers.
Your job having moved within the group of companies does not prevent you coming back to work. Your manager or HR should be keeping in touch with you (and you with them) such that you can be kept informed of changes at work.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Thanks for the replies. I have asked HR why i am now being paid by a different company and 'they will get back to me' .
The way the organisation works is there are 4 companies within the group..each bill each other for services and provide a different function etc.
I havent had a new contract of employment or been made aware that i was going to be 'moved accross the group'
Even tho my employer is a massive employer it is rubbish re HR etc and I struggle to get answers re basic things.
Thanks everyone, its strange that when you are off work ill and your questions arent being answered by your employer you head goes round in big loops fearing the most wierd things!0
