12 Weeks ago i claimed for missold PPI against Yorkshire bank after 12 weeks i have a full and final offer from Yorkshire for 500 pounds but they deny liability etc and state they have no documents for the loan which was taken out in 2005.My claim including interest was for 3,000.Should i write back and refuse and plod on with the ombudsman the money would be handy to get back as i start on a DMP in december.

Accept it in part payment and state your dispute remains.
If that is their "full and final", your next step is likely the FOS. I can't see the bank defending the claim if they have no documentation to back up their case??Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Hi there
I'm sure I read somewhere on here over the last day or 2 that someone (same bank as well) was offered the same amount, who obviously refused and wrote back to tell them they were not at all happy with this offer and asked them to reconsider the full amount.
Just a thought, they should still have some details on your account if you taken this out in only 2005, did you ever request for a SAR from the bank?

So basically if this is not the final response, it may be worth you writing back to tell them your not happy with the offer.
Good luck please let us know how you get on.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"
