  • I hope you pointed out to the BBA that what they have to do if they reject a claim is what the FSA have told them since March 2009 and that is to explain WHY they do not believe that their customer is in financial hardship. Nationwide are one of the very few that appear to actually do this.

How many months arrears did you have?
Were you still using the account and incurring charges?
Was the arrears being paid off?

Do you have an active open account now?
When did you claim back the charges and when was the other account closed with the charges on them?

  • Hmmm well, ive been on BBC1 news this morning complaining about Alliance and Leicester bank charges. Im disgusted to hear the news that they are not going to be paying us all back. Im sick of the banks and buiding societies stealing our money. I found ut when it was to late that debits come out ofyour bank, even though you have credits going in on the same day. Even if the credits go in your account early morning, they still charge. They owe me at least £3000 and i want my money back. I am in financial hardship. I suffered from a Stroke, i have 3 ruptured discs in my back and cant walk a great deal. Ive not worked because of this. I am on benefits and although id love to work, i just cant at the moment. I have debt up to my eyeballs and i was told because im not over my overdraft limit im not in financial difficulty. I have a big over draft and each month im to the limit and most months im over it cos they wack great stupid charges on it and take me over it. I am 1 fuming customer and just about had enough of this country thinking about the rich people that can afford not to have their mney back. Us poor soles cant and they should recognise this when they make their decisions. Its very unfair. I hope that everyone on here get some kind of compensatin for it, but im not counting my chickens hmmmm its bad bad bad
