DONT SELL ON AMAZON - BUNCH OF THIEVES

I have been selling a little on ebay for some time, but though id try Amazon...well what a mistake!

After trading for a few weeks, they require you to ensure a PIN to authorise your payment account....this comes from the US....well it didnt arrive and i kept getting email reminders that if i didnt enter my PIN my account would be locked.

I phoned them five times and emailed them 17 times to request that myu account must not be locked as i havent received the pin. So, they ignored me and locked it.

I lost 7 sales that i know of, maybe lots more......after a further 5 phone calls and 12 more emails....i finally got someone with enough intelligence to resend the PIN.

One month later it arrived (by snail?).  I entered the PIN it didnt work. I then phoned them and 10 heated phone calls and 21 further emails later they unlocked without a PIN after I threatened legal action.

I checked my account and my money had, over £200, disappeared...it had reportedly been sent  to my building soc account....it hadnt...further heated conversations ensued.....they will now send me the money on Monday after a Billing error (the lies i was being told were unbelievable....i said i work in computers and one of my specialists skill areas is Billing systems....they soon backed down).

they initially said they couldnt give me compo.."wha?...well how about i perform a chargeback on every payment i made to your company last year!!"

they will look into it....i expect at least £100...if they dont i will be straight onto Trading standards

Amazon win my joint first prize for "Muppet retailer of the year"....joint with our friends at Empire Stores. 3rd were The Store, 4th were Comet.

So far, this saga has taken 3 months!
