Salthegal - I got the one from Aldi - my local has some left and I think it is great - very powerful about £80 and made by karcher

The type of washer you were asking about earlier is an induction motor type washer -as these stop when not in use - that way the motor lasts longer and is the type to get.

The aldi one also has an induction type motor.

    Hope this helps

Yes, a Karcher washer purchased from Makro will be rubbish compared to one from B&Q
    Can I help?
  • I find generally that electrical goods in Makro are always available cheaper elsewhere. Generally their ex VAT price seems to be the same as other places inc VAT price. Some recent examples include a Bush Plasma TV, £799 inc VAT from Argos £799+VAT from Makro. A Satelite navigator £179 from Woolworths £179+VAT from Makro.

I really don't understand Makro, it is supposed to be a cash and carry where corner shops etc buy stuff from to sell. No wonder corner shops are so expensive as the prices of their stuff is no cheaper than a super markets. I know some catering establishments buy all their food supplies from supermarkets because it is cheaper than the so called wholesalers.

Been thinking of buying a cheap pressure washer to clean my patio area every once in a while and so not going to be used too much now i have seen one in argos called challenge and its going for 39.99 at the moment and i also have noticed that woolworths have a rac one reduced from 119 to 59 now i need to know which one would be the best i know that the woolworths one was expensive to start with and is half price compared to the argos one which i think is only reduced i think around 10 pounds i need to know anyone know what would be the better one.
I know its not a great named washer but its ok for what i need it for.

Or should i wait andf get the lidl one which again is another 10 pounds more which ones has most power and would last longer.

To clean a patio you need quite a powerful one. Go for at least 120bar normal (not peak) rating and you should be fine.
