"Britain's Biggest Spenders"

Did anyone see "Britain's Biggest Spenders" last night on ITV (I think)?
I was shouting at the tv - couldn't believe the girl who paid to take her mum to New York (what, £3 grand at least?) to tell her she was £80K in debt and paid a fortune to get the lips, botox etc done. And she'd already been in £25k of debt before and went bankrupt to escape it!!
a) HOW on earth do people like that still get credit?
b) It's not like she fell behind due to illness, unplanned baby, etc - she was buying t-shirts for her DOG for goodness sake!
c) Although it does make me feel better about my tiny (by comparison) debts and that I can at least afford to pay them.
Rant over! What would moneysaving would you recommend to this girl?

I never saw it. I cant watch those programmes so near to bedtime as they give me nightmares lol
I owuld recommend she go and work somewhere like Banglalore or Port Au Prince, and she will soon understand the difference between want and need.
I hope the OR was watching that :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I think the only thing that can save her is a brain transplant but that's some hope...
You would think that with all this customer data etc.banks have access to they would have the sense to stop lending to these unfortunate people, but hey, if they lose the money we pay them back in increased charges...
Trip to New York, first class, anyone?
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

My word, is that how old she was..? 31? I agree she looked nearly 50.
I saw the bit where she was saying "I like the punch in the face look" (re: lip work).
Well, I know someone who'll provide that sort of service for free, saving her lots of money....

Was that the guy in the penthouse suite in Manchester? The orange man? With a £5000 Louis Vuitton (or however you spell it...do I look bovvered?) football? I can't say much more than that as I had to switch off after 10 minutes before I threw up.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

We weren't sure if it was a man in drag actually
I was wondering just how it would play out when she had to visit court in all her finest, declaring bankruptcy. It made me so angry because we all see the posts of people on here who are genuinely struggling but genuinely don't want to pursue bankruptcy as a route and there she was botoxed to oblivion, buying coats for her rat, sorry, small dog, then telling us she was broke.
