Hello there,
I've just done a spreadsheet that took me a good while in order to try and keep track of my matched betting activities. Just finished it and then saved, then I edited it as in removed some of the data in order to send it to a friend so they could use it...but I saved it using the same name as my original and so now all the data is gone! arrgh.
Is there anyway I can get back to the original saved version?
Thanks very much.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, no.
I had a similar thing happen when a spreadsheet autosaved just after I'd accidentaly hit delete when all the contents of a sheet was selected. I always use prompt now, and always save the document as the new one before I start to edit/delete it...0 -
you could have a look in your temp directory, or try this:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html
but you will be lucky to get it back.
Time to sort out a backup strategy?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
As the file has been saved over the existing, rather than the existing file being deleted, I wouldn't hold out much hope, though.
Sorry!0 -
I doubt very much.
Try a sytem restore as that may take the Recent folder back to an earlier date.0 -
Never mind. I will just have to re-enter the data. TUT. I will leave it till tomorrow, can't be bothered doing it tonight!:D
