I wasnt sure if i should pop this in here or in the praise(yea right!)vents and warnings thread........so if it should be moved please do!
We have been with talktalk for some time, and despite the customer services etc having its serious faults we have 'got on with it'
We moved house 16 weeks ago, and a few weeks before moving i called talktalk to ask how much it would cost to move the phone line. I also stated to the home mover team we would be going with another company if it would cost to much.
I was informed it would be moved over for nothing as we had been with talktalk for such a long time. We moved. The new line was connected. Normal bills have been coming and everthing was fine.
This month however, from nowhere our phone and broadband was dissconected(line barr)
We called them and was informed that a bill had been sent out a week before and as we hadnt paid a restriction had been placed on the line. It turns out due to the royalmail strike we hadt recieved our bill so hadnt paid...i promtly got out the credit card and went to pay....was told it was £60. This shocked me as we dont really use the house phone. I was told their was a £29.99 charge for moving house. I point blank refused to pay this, and paid the phone bill. The gentleman on the phone told me he would get the home mover team to look into it and call me back....this was 5 weeks ago now, and despite me calling three times and being told they would call me still nothing.
Then this morning i recieved a letter from them saying
'despite our previous efforts to contact you about the unpaid balance we are now concidering suspending your services'
I have never been so angry. They have not contacted me via phone or sodding mail to disbute this £29.99 and now they are threatening a 70quid charge for messing with a contract.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:mad:
What on earth am i sposed to do? I am sick of calling them and trying to talk to the customer services/home movers/whoever else and being passed from post to post, and now they are threatening me!
Has anyone else had any major problems like this with them? Does anyone have any advice? Ive been told their is a talktalk rep floating about on this board so hoping for some sort of help.
Sorry for babbling on!

I think the TalkTalk rep is normally on either the Home Phone board or the Broadband board. Might be best posting this on one of those boards or getting admin to move this post.0
