Need to change my meters - Help !!!
I have been thinking about this for a few weeks now since i have been a regular reader of the board.
There are the facts - Please don;t shout at me - I have meters for both my gas and elec both are with Npower. Since i have been recording what i spend each day/week, i have noticed that i am putting about £10.00 on Elec and £5.00 on my gas to keep them both in credit.
So i would like to get them both out and hopfully get standards meters on both, and set up Direct Debits.
The problem is a few years ago i asked them to change my Elec Meter over and they where going to charge me £200, this is still true today and what is the current charge. Can not afford that amount of money.
Can anyone give me advise on what to say when i phone them, not very good at negotiation on the phone.
many thanks in advance..
Di
