Self Storage - what's cheapest?

Hi all,
Sorry for posting in the home-buyers forum but couldn't find a better one and I see that other self-storage threads are here.
But if I want to store stuff for 3-6 months, what's the cheapest option?
It's not a lot of stuff - a number of small household appliances and books, no large appliances or furniture.
I live in Central London, and I wondered if storage would be cheaper if I was prepared to drive way out to the middle of nowhere as opposed to storing my stuff in central london. I won't need regular access to the stuff.
Are there any small "Mom & Pop" places that might be cheap, or are the big places like Safe Store / Big Yellow cheaper?
Thanks in advance!

You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.
