First ever post from a very happy novice!

Hello all!

I have been lurking for a while now,
:o

In October I summoned up the balls to claim my PPI back from Egg. Using the site template I sent off one letter on October 25th. Never expected to hear anything tbh.

Just checked my current account balance and have noticed a deposit from Egg of £3780.98
:T:T:T

thank you all so much, Cant quite believe my luck. All for one letter.
Think it might stick around MSE, looks a good place to be :D

Well done - As my granny used to say when she gave me 5p pocket money - Don't spend it all in the one shop

  • Congratulations and welcome to MSE, newbie here too. I'm hoping for a good outcome from Egg, submitted my complaint just after you, fingers crossed. Do you have any other claims to go after?

    Hi,

    Congrats :D

Can I ask if you can give a few details about your reclaim, i.e. was this a loan or C/C, what was the basis of the miss-sell and was your application done online.

    Thx and well done

Thanks all, I am on such a high!

I am now going to try Asda credit card and Debenhams store card as I have been paying PPi on both of these. Not sure if anyone has any experience of claiming form these two? But I'm going to give it a go, Asda letter being posted tomorrow. Waiting for a Debenhams statement and will then try that too.

The basis of my claim was that the insurance had not been explained to me. The PPi was on a personal loan. I got the loan online.

What am I doing with the money?
So far have paid off a Next directory balance and a littlewoods balance. My car needs 2 new tyres so thats next. Certainly not planning to splurge the money, in too much debt for that :o

    So happy for you.

Good luck with the others as well.
    Keep at them.

Check on the above success thread as well, you should find others that have been successful via Debenhams and Asda.
    Fingers crossed.;)

well done. i think you can splurge a beer or a glass of wine - boy will it taste good.

but then quickly stick the rest against your worst debt (highest APR or most troublesome lender)
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
