Royal Mail

Options
I recently moved apartments, I set up the mail redirection, although dont hold much hope out for that after the last time I moved as my post kept going to my old address.
Well when I moved in several people told me the postal service was terrible here, there are only 14 apartments in the building and the boxes are outside!
I have noticed it has been hit and miss and I do get quite a bit of post so I am aware, there is no strike on where I live either, but I hadnt received any post for 6 days and it didnt look to me like anyone else had!!!! Lovefilm had despatched 2 films to me which obviously havent arrived.
I called into my sorting office and spoke to one of the managers there and to be honest talk about not really being bothered well thats how she came across, she went off to check and said "well all his post has gone and there is nothing in the slots but he does have leaflets to deliver as well you know" I replied I know that but where has my post gone from the last 6 days...... " I dont know" was the answer, then she told me they would note down every day what he was to deliver to me and they would do this for 2 weeks and contact me!!!
So upon opening my post box today guess what 7 letters in it, how strange, only one lovefilm though and that was one that was despatched after the other one....

Dont know who else to complain to really.....

well i would follow it up
perhaps send yourself/neighbours a couple of test letters?
its been busy this week so i would be surprised if anyone had no mail for six days
have you had a red 'xmas' card from RM for example?

it sounds like the manager has set up a mail monitor which is the 1st stage to check with this type of complaint
  • Every year the Royal Mail gets less fit for purpose.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

this is what we( posties) have been saying
the service is being whittled down year on year

    heres my day today
go in and see a load of undelivered packages from yesterday (my day off)
while other posties do manual sorting i do what is termed the business reply section.all the freepost/account mail that comes in for delivery in our delivery area
it all needs sorted/counted & charged
this wasnt done at all yesterday,so hundreds of letters were left.
this includes letters to HMRC,large banking offices, council,NHS etc

very busy day so by the time we are up and out its after 10.30am
again no time to do packets so these are left again
i am supposed to finish at 1310 to drive back to the office
starting at 10.30 leaves me 2 hours 40 minutes to do a 3.5 hour delivery without keying in how busy it is and the solid rain
this is a standard day now,if i had stopped at 1310 then thats near 1 hour of delivery where people wouldnt have got mail
