Sorry to hear about the burglary - I hope they catch them and chop their 'bits' off ...

Although I doubt the police will catch them - cos they are too busy catching 'criminal' motorists for blowing their noses whilst stationary (easy money, £10,000 fine). As opposed to the kids who steal and burn cars (2 day ban - not that they had a licence anyway, and a £5 fine) :mad:

This country is an absolute shambles. Our laws don’t allow us victims to get any justice whatsoever. The Police hands are tied by government red tape. Wallowing in self pity and seeking it from the hearts of others dosen't reclaim your property ..... it only steals their energy.

Grrrr. What a 'mare. I too have been burgled (and broken into but nothing was taken) and lived on my own both times. Really not very nice.

Honestly don't think there's anything anyone can do to prevent things like this. Not unless everyone has their own bodyguard or house-sitter 24/7. Even that ain't a guarantee - my mate got burgled the other month while she slept in her bed :O (and she lives alone, in a Victorian conversion flat, 1st/top floor!). Nobody's gonna target someone/a house when there's a copper nearby - so they'll go find someone else to burgle/mug. So I just can't see how it can be prevented. All we can do is make our homes as secure as possible, fit alarms (or at least an empty box!) and keep our wits about us.

Fingers crossed you get some fantastic wins soon!

gazzarh has just been burgled, he doesn't need to be had a go at on here as well. And for that matter, I don't particularly like it either, it's late at night, want to shut down the computer with happy thoughts of people winning nice prizes, not of petty !!!!!ing on the forums

i dont have to spell anything out, been robbed and then you come on and tell me to "get over it", nice attitude to have, oh ill get over it but my kids may take longer to and me having to listen to them crying in bed because their consoles have been stolen is something ill take longer to get over so please dont preach to me about sucking it up. Now ill leave this thread be as i simply dont want or have the energy to have a cyber argument, thanks

When this sort of thing happens, you want to be able to tell someone else and vent. It has happened to most of us (me included). You can't say anything to the OH or kids, cos you need to be strong for them, to say to them 'don't worry, it doesn't matter' when inside you know it does, and you just want to let rip. The kids must be gutted, and won't understand why some scummy, sh*ty b*st*rd has nicked their stuff. :mad:

gazzarh has come on here to vent, give them a break and show some sympathy - it costs nothing but pays a million.
