Avoiding mould without putting the heating on?

    They cost MUCH less than heating though. And dry air is more comfortable and pleasant.

    Plus, having heating on isn't actually a solution, as when it's off at night or when you're not there, the temperature drops and the water vapour still present will condense.

    Although, having that, central heating does dry the air out, so if you have it on a lot, it'll probably stay on top of things via inadvertently dehumidifying.

    Well, fair point, but aren't they quite noisy and bulky (the half decent ones anyway)?
