the Disclosure Scotland one isn't detailed enough.
Disclosure Scotland do basic and enhanced disclosures. I have access to children/vulnerable adults through my job in a local authority and this is the agency which is used. That said, I'm also actually resident in Scotland. No idea what differs in the English system.0 -
Think it's about £36 now I got mine through the organisation I volunteer for so it cost me nothing.Know they take about 4weeks to come through from application:j0

I don't know if this is an exception, but I got a copy at work yesterday for somebody who applied on the 6th November - fastest turn around I've ever seen for an enhanced CRB.
Re Disclosure Scotland - one of our contractors thought they could get away with a Basic Disclosure Scotland - as I understand it these are only suitable for individuals wanting a Personal Licence under the Licensing Act. I didn't want others to go the same way. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
Was that obtained privately?
No it was done through the university who were the requesting organisation, as i am currently training to be a health visitor, because i am a student i had to pay for it myself. I am also a qualified nurse so the one i had done previous to that, the trust paid for when i started working there.0 -
You cannot get a CRB for yourself - an organisation needs to apply for it on your behalf. This is because of 'brown envelope' stuff, its confidential to the police and only disclosed to an employr if you would be putting other people at serious risk.Baby Mazza due New Years Day 2013!0
