Claiming charges against old credit cards

Hi , Can anyone help. I am reclaiming charges on my credit cards - a couple of years ago I destroyed a number of cards where I know I incurred penalty charges. I have the card numbers from purchase receipts but cannot remember which card relates to which lender. Is it possible to determine from the card number who would have supplied the card?:T
I'd appreciate it if anyone can help

The first six numbers on the credit card identify the issuer. If you post a list of these, people may be able to tell you.0
