They aren't the fastest on earth to get their cards delivered!!

If it's not in tomorrows post, give them a shout ;)

  • When I applied for mine, it took around five days for the card and another four for the pin. That was well over a year ago though.

    Welcome to the club!

    - I call vanquis the "Chatham Chavs". You'll understand why if you ever have to query something with their customer service team ;)

At 47.8% APR  i wont be using my card unless i really really need to .
  • Ive got less polite names for their customer service team!
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

Don't be fooled!!! That's 47.8% Simple interest per year.

    The APR is 59.9%

Vanquis don't quote the APR on any of their correspondence, as they want to make the accounts look better value than they are.

Call them and ask what your APR is, they will probably say "47.8%".

State "I didn't ask for my simple interest rate, I asked for my APR, they are two different things, so what is my APR?". Then you'll be told 59.9%

Chatham Chavs... if we are being incredibly polite that is!!

I'd still use the card, but be clever with it. Only buy something you already have the money for and then simply pay it off again when the statement comes through. You'll improve your credit rating that way.
