Just a quick question as I am in the process of trying to claim back from LTSB, has anyone had a successful claim claim against LTSB?
Thank You

Hi there
There seems to be even more success recently since all the news in the media where Lloyds were one of those named in regards of these complaints.
I have been successful with a Credit Card ppi case, which went to the FOS and finally resolved through them, but now lloyds do seem to be resolving more complaints direct now, so hope this is the case for you.
If they do not by 8 weeks then your entitled to take your complaint ot the financial ombudsman service (FOS).
I have a few loan ppi cases ongoing with lloyds now as well, in hope that this time they will resolve these direct.
For more on reclaiming with the guidelines of reclaiming with a checklist of mis selling reasons, and template letters here:

If you require any help from here, please just yell, good luck and please let us know how you get on.

Hi, I'm a newbie here on the forum, but I have been an avid forum lurker and reader for some time now!

I'm in the process of a dispute over credit card PPI with Lloyds, I took the card out in 2000 and was basically told no ppi, no credit. I got the usual response from Lloyds stating no case and take a hike. So I sent my complaint to FOS back at the beginning of the year. Recently my financial situation has worsened and as a result I wrote to the FOS providing evidence of my financial situation and asking them to bump my case if possible.
They have done and now are in possession of the 'evidence' that Lloyds have been using in their defence, namely some bank statements and apparently my original card application form .. which I don't even have!
What I wondered is this; I read many people who have successfully reclaimed Lloyds CC PPI, but did you successful people have 'evidence' against you aswell? and if so, do you know what the evidence was?
If nobody else had the 'evidence' pulled on them, am I to assume that all hope is lost?
The card has had several thousands of pounds on it up and down over the last 9 years, and so the amount of PPI I've paid is probably quite considerable, and at the moment a repayment of this money they've essential 'stolen' from me would be greatly appreciated!!
Your thoughts and experiences are much welcomed
thanks

Hello there and welcome.;)
I was recently successful with a credit card pp claims (lloyds) through the FOS, this was sold to me in 2001.
Did you try to request for a copy of any paperwork from Lloyds TSB before you taken your compaint to the FOS? (and they did not supply this to you - through an SAR) perhaps?
I would not worry, the FOS, know what Lloyds are like, you stand your ground with your reasons.
When the FOS investigates, they take 2 sides into consideration, but most of the time the FOS comes up with the bank has some evidence in their defence, this does not mean it will go against you.
The FOS been dealing with high amounts of complaints against Lloyds TSB and know how they work by now with the mis selling of PPI.
So please do not worry, the FOS will still take your case into consideration.
Good luck, please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi di3004,
thanks for your reply
It's put me at ease a little more!
No I never requested any paperwork from Lloyds, I just used the letter templates & timescales on this site. They never offered any evidence in their defence when they rejected my dispute.
Hopefully FOS will be reviewing everything this week... I shall try not to worry too much and keep everything crossed! Shall keep you posted
thanks again di3004

Hi Kelly,
I'm currently going through the same process and would definitely recommend you do the SAR. Admittedly, they did take EAXCTLY 40 days to get it to me but it was worth the wait as included in there, was a copy of my original application form from 2001 with the PPI clearly pre-ticked. In addition, so was the box underneath stating that I had requested information on balance transfers. At the time, I was 19 with no other credit whatsoever so why on earth would I do that when I had nowhere to transfer the balance from? The mind boggles!
They also included as part of the SAR (even though I didn't request it and it's not strictly covered by a SAR) the last 6 years of my card statements. This has been particularly useful as it allowed (thanks to advice from Di and Marshallka) calculate exactly how much I'm due back.
Good luck with your claim!0 -
My Lloyds claim is with the FOS, Lloyds took the full 8 weeks then a further 4 weeks before they decided against the claim, keep with it, fingers crossed they will agree in your favour0

Lloyds upheld our complaint with one letter which only took a month. The downside is that they have now taken two months to calculate the refund with no end in sight but at least we are further forward then some.hopefulshell07 wrote: »Just a quick question as I am in the process of trying to claim back from LTSB, has anyone had a successful claim claim against LTSB?

Hello there
That is just typical of Lloyds isn't it?
Well done for being successful very quickly and hope they hurry up and pay out soon, they know xmas is on the way and in my opinion many need their money now due to this as well, so fingers crossed they will have a heart here and pay this out now.;)XxThe one and only "Dizzy Di"
