Hi there,

Firstly I appologise if there is already a thread about this, I did a search but nothing that I could see came up.

I received an email from Paypal this morning telling me that the above company had taken 30USD from my account for a subscription that I know nothing about. I had a look to at their webiste but have never heard of them. I got straight on to Paypal and cancelled my subscription and put a claim in to get my money back (not holding my breath though).

Has this happened to anyone else and how have they got my details? Was it my own fault as I enter a lot of competions online but always tick the box to say that I don't want companies contacting me etc?

Regards - Kate.

  • Paypal have just emailed me to say that my claim has been refused as they have investigated found that the transaction was not unauthorised!!!!

  • I'm confused. You put in a claim to get back money taken without authorisation but your claim was refused as the transaction was not authorised. So what exactly is happening?
    Am I missing something here?
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • Paypal are saying that it was an authorised transaction....certinally not by me it wasn't.

  • Ask to be transferred to the ebay section, more likely to get more answers there.

  • Thank you......I have spoken with my bank though and they tel me I have to let the money come out of my current account then I can ask them for a fraud claim form to get the money back....its just the inconvenience of it all.
