PPI Reclaiming - thoughts please

Although I have posted on a couple of threads about PPI I thought I would get the teams views on the likelihood of success on the current PPI reclaims I have ongoing:

Northern Rock PPI about £9200 based on single premium- reclaiming based on not being told insurance was loaded upfront with interest paid/strongly advised to take/not advised other insurance available.

CO OP loan PPI £4600 based on single premium - reclaim based on above but also insurance only valid for me not my partner even though its a joint loan and we have joint liability.

Bank of Scotland Preference card- taken out in 1999. Credit care added to repayments even though employer paid sickness absence.

Barclaycard - taken out in 2001. Credit care added to repayments. This card was taken out after being approached in the shopping centre on a "have this card for emergencies as its only got a £500 limit and you will automatically be accepted" basis- again employer paid sickness benefit and the rushed signature didnt allow for full analysis of the terms.

I have fired off letters to all companies concerned and await their response. Come on guys give me some encouragement!!:j

    Good for you :T:T
Keep at them until they resolve your complaint, if your not happy with the decision they may give you the opportunity to write back to them for them to reconsider, if they do not resolve in your favour, then move on to the Financial ombudsman service - by the final decision.
Good luck, you will be fine, and please keep us posted.

I think if you have good reasons as all of these are banks then they should come under the Ombudsman Jurisdiction anyway and FOS are upholding most complaints for single premiums so you have a good chance with them. Regards the cards ones too lots on here have won from old dates too as they only just became aware of the misselling.

    Good luck
