My husband is the last person I would want choosing a ring for me :) especially one I'm expected to wear every day for the rest of my life :rotfl:

    But they look delightful!

Maybe they will choose together. Hubbles was going to pick one for me (and tbh it was nice bt not my favourite) but he decided as it was something I would always wear he wanted to be sure it was something I really loved. We had lots of fun looking in windows and trying different styles before we both picked rings we really loved.

And some peope just don't bother with engagement rings. Each to their own.

And also, just because you don't perceive any money issues doesn't mean there aren't any...

I've often thought about selling my old engagement ring but not sure if I should/ if it's worth it... it wasn't expensive in the first place. I'm never going to wear it again though so it seems like a bit of a waste it lying around in a box. Maybe a reminder not to rush into something like that again!

ooooh ooooh i like engagement ring stories!

i had one when i was 17... best described as an emerald with diamond chips! lol, from Argooosse.... but i loved it.... relationship ended and the ring was banished to jewllery box for a while then worn i think on and off on another hand, then lost..?!?

And then cue several years of yeah lets get engaged married etc with Big G, all of which were false starts and red herrings and enver resulted in a ring.... until 2 christmasses ago when i said !!!!!! can you just buy me a diamond ring or i am gonna go bananas!!

So i bought one from tescos...(and he gave me the money).... 3/4 or maybe 1 carat (probably a blood diamond but i don't think about it) wore it on ring finger but was no nearer ever getting married.... then lost weight and now wear it on my middle finger... and i like it.

But i would take it off for anything from Tiffanys..... or just actually anything actually....

but it won't be this christmas obviously!

See getting married per se doesnt really bother me (as in I can take it or leave it) but if I was going to go to all that hassle then it would have to be tiffanys ;):D
