Well, by the time I read lots of the responses, it was the next day and I'd already cheered up. But I did find lots of the responses cheering and I hope the thread also provided good cheer to anyone else who happened on it, too - judging by the thanks some posts received, I imagine it did.

Obviously, there are people like chuck-up who feel a strange need to post abuse on a thread where someone has already said they're feeling down - 'kicking a man while he's down', is I believe the phrase?
