Sky talk line rental

I think i know the answer to this, but has anyone been able to get out of the 12month contract for telephone line rental with sky.

I assume to get out i will have to pay the remainder or the contract

    Why are you needing to? Is it a quality of service problem? Are you moving?
    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    no not moving looking to sort out my broadband only get speeds of less that 1mb, turns out talk talk have LLU service on my exchange.

    talk talk dont do broadband without talking line rental.
