Redundancy - Protective Award

After being made redundant in January i finally received a redundancy payment last week.

We went through a tribunal and were awarded a protective award, we are yet to hear how much that would be.

Anybody got any idea how this is calculated?

Comments

  • Protective award is usually based on the government minimum redundancy payment but can include the 90 day protective award if the company failed to follow correct procedures.
  • Thanks for that. They never followed procedure no.

I was just curious of a rough guide of how to calculate potential award in £.
  • If they have awarded you the 90 days then it is based on your normal salary.
