Home Insurance - First Direct

Just needed to go through the rigmarole of renewing my home insurance, used the screen scrapers and found a reasonable deal (well, 130 quid cheaper than my current deal).
Got a flyer from FD about their home insurance so thought I'd get a quote. They were more than my current deal so obviously left it. However, got a call yesterday from one of their agents who nearly price-matched the cheapest deal I'd got (still 20 quid more) but gave me the 50 quid cashback they're doing until the end of the month.
In all then I saved 160 quid just by looking around.
Thought I'd point out that FD may not be the cheapest but they're obviously touting for business at the moment as they're willing to do deals. I didn't have to push hard at all.

I don't know if this is an old one, but it surprised me anyway. My home insurance is due and Natwest sent me a letter confirming a quote of £570. I followed the usual steps but they were not interested. However, exactly the same policy ( I checked) is available on the website at £302.00. A good saving I think?0
