hi guys, just in response to the above messages. I havent had a time where I was on beniefits. As for the pension i am having the NHS pension, but my boss has taken that out prior to the figures given.
Just to clear up any other issues my monthly salary was
gross 2324.60 and i have been taxed 0 in my first month, then 281 and then 356.80. NI has been 203.50 each time.0 -

The tax figures that you have given are consistent with you having a tax code of 647L the normal code not 461L as you originally said.0 -
Hiya, i just checked again and you're right it is 647L!
I do pay annual fee's of £436 but i havent had any information as whether its tax deductable or anything like that?
I think youre right in the way that university does train you do a job but it hasnt taught me a thing about managing my finances! I think it might be an idea to get a financial advisor to do my taxes.0 -
£436 in professional fees represents a potential tax saving of (436 * 20%)= £87.20.
each year. Not exactly a fortune but better in your pocket than the taxman’s.
Tell us what your job is and give details of how much you pay to who and we can sort it out.
Thanxs Jimmo, i've actually asked my boss to sort it and he's said he'll get it done monday morning, brilliant! He said that as long as i can show proof of the fee's i can claim taxback!
Thanx guys again for all your help and more so your patience. Everythings underway for me to hopefully get a bit of a bigger paycheque next month!0
