Renault Scenic Dashboard fault. £100's returned to owners by Renault
There is a thread regarding the electronic problems to the dashboard of Renault Scenics and the vast amount of money dealers were charging to fix it. I had the problem and any claim against Renault was rejected as it was out of warranty. The very good news is that Renault have now capitulated and are offering to repair the fault for no more than £100 whether it is out of warranty or not. The even better news is that if you have had it repaired they will reimburse you the difference between £100 and what you paid for it. In my case they are sending me a cheque for £120. Mine was repaired by an online company called BBA Reman. I have provided the receipt and my V5 to Renault as proof. If you paid a dealer the asking price you will be due back from Renault £450 CASH!
