Hi, At 4.45pm yesterday I had a phone call from a man who said he was from talktalk, he said they would loke to send a rep to look at my equipment to see if it was all working ok, I told him there was nothing wrong with it and I did not think it was necessary but he insisted that everything will run a lot faster and as it was a free service from talktalk it would not do any harm, well he wanted to come today but I put him off so that I would have time to check it out so he said he would be here between 12 and 3 tomorrow.
I rang talktalk and they said they do not do that and they would only send someone if I logged a complaint and there was nothing on their system for call out for the phone line and if there was a problem with my speed they would fix that from their end, he said do not let themin.
I rang the police who gave me an incident number and when he arrives I have to ring 999 and someone will be here in a flash.
I am puzzled how this person got my phone number, it is X directory and how would he know I am with talktalk and how would he know where I live.
Just wanted to warn everyone.
