You could try using cc cleaner from here

run it and clean the windows files and the registry its completely safe I use the software on a daily basis (and have done for about 5 years) and I have it set to run automatically on start up

I have never had any problems using the software or the registry cleaner but it does allow you to back up the changes so that you can revert back if you do have any problems

If you do install I would suggest that you don't install the Yahoo toolbar
also ignore the Paypal signs the software is completely FREE!
